Get Involved

We'll support you, every step of the way

Volunteering with Scouts isn't about being thrown in at the deep end. We'll give you the training, the support and the flexibility you need to make the most of it.

You don't need to be an expert in the outdoors. You don't need to give up every weekend. And you don't need to do it alone — our volunteers work as a team, and there's a role to suit your time and your skills.

Training and support

You'll get all the training you need, from safeguarding to specific activities. We've got your back.

Flexibility

Volunteer in ways that suit your life. Weekly section help, occasional event support, behind-the-scenes admin — there's a role for every schedule.

Personal growth

Volunteering at Scouts is good for the people who do it, too. New friends, new skills, and a real sense of contributing to something that matters.

Our group exists because of brilliant adults who give their time. Whether you have an hour a week or you're ready to take on a full leadership role, there's a place for you here.

No experience necessary

  • Section Leader — plan and run weekly meetings for a section
  • Assistant Leader — support a section leader at weekly meetings
