Ages 8 - 10

Meeting in "The New Hall"

Mondays

1915 - 2030

Cubs is the second section and the challenges start to go up a notch. A whole new world of fun and adventure begins with Cubs.

From Age 8 young people can join the Cubs and start taking part in weekly meetings and organised events. Cubs start to take part in longer overnight trips and small expeditions. Teamwork and leadership skills are essential for a Cub Scout and the friendships forged in Cubs can last right through Scouting.

A Howling Success

All Cubs are expected to wear their uniform to each weekly meeting and on events representing the group. Depending on the activity you won't always need to wear all of it.

Visit the below website for purchasing your uniform.

The group neckie is available to order from the Glasgow Scout Store. We use the scarlet plain coloured neckie or "gang show neckie" as it's known in Glasgow. These can also be purchased from the group when available for a donation to the group.

Our unit, country, district and region badges go on the right sleeve like this...

These badges identify our unique Scout Group so anyone can tell where we are from. Scouts from other areas and countries will have their own set of badges in the same place. From this we can clearly see we are the 144th Glasgow 1st Baillieston Scout Group from Scotland in the South East district of the Clyde region.

Moving On

Once Cubs reach the age of 10 and a half they can then move onto the Scouts section.
