Group Costs

Subscription

Our current subscription fee is £140 per annum. We offer a monthly payments option running from September to June.

This fee is to cover general costs of running our weekly meetings as well as annual payments to The Scout Association and our local Scout region. There is also a small transaction fee for processing payments online. All payments' should be set-up and paid via direct debit through OSM and GoCardless. 

For families with multiple children in the group, even in different sections, let us know and we can offer a discount for each additional child joining the group. We'll normally do this by reducing the number of payments you need to make through out the year. 

Payments are currently scheduled to come out on the last calendar day of the month starting from the 30th of September. 

When members join us in the middle of a session the first payment will tend to be at the end of the following month to accommodate a few free sessions for settling in and deciding to stay. 

Camps and Events 

Camps and events are charged separately also through OSM via direct debit. When you first set-up the events subscription you'll automatically pay by direct debit for any events you sign up for. 

Weekend camps can cost anywhere from £25 to around £100 depending on the type of camp and the accommodation costs as well as transport and food. The group will aim to subsidise camps as much as possible through fundraising events and aim to keep camps as affordable as possible. If any of our members are having financial difficulties with camps then we encourage you to reach out to the leaders and we'll do our best to help. 

Other 

Outside of the subscription and camps and events, the only other costs would be activities or fundraising events. 

Paying Via OSM

All payments made to the group should be through OSM using it's online payments options. 

Payments through OSM are managed through "subscriptions". Most members will need to sign up to 2 subscriptions, your group subs and camps and events. Once signed up through OSM's third-party payment processing system GoCardless your group sub payments will be collected automatically and camps and events payments will also be collected automatically if you confirmed attendance at that camp or event.
